IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi offers 4-year Bachelors' programs in Engineering & Technology, providing an immersive educational experience that will equip students with the skills and knowledge to excel in their professional careers.

Out of the total seats offered at IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi, two third of the seats in each program are available for UAE Nationals and International Students / Indian expatriates who have studied for the past 5 years in the UAE, through Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2025, while the remaining one third of total seats are available for Indian/Foreign nationals through JEE (Advanced) 2025.

JEE (Advanced) 2025
Indian nationals interested in applying to undergraduate programs at IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi should appear in JEE (Advanced) 2025, and apply through the portal of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

CAET 2025
The CAET 2025 will be used for admissions to the undergraduate programs in IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi, for UAE Nationals, International students and Indian expatriates who have studied for at least 5 years in the UAE including classes VIII to XII. CAET 2025 will be conducted twice - on February 16, 2025 and on April 13, 2025. It will be a 3-hour examination containing three subject parts of equal marks - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Attempting all the subjects of the paper is compulsory. Examination will be Pen-and Paper based, using OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheets.

^*If you have selected a centre in India, the corresponding Indian standard time will be used. i.e. 9:00 a.m. (GST) = 10.30 a.m. (IST), 5:00 p.m. (GST) = 6.30 p.m. (IST), 12:00 noon (GST)= 1.30 p.m. (IST).

^**A certain percentage of the total available seats will be allocated to Top Performers in CAET session 1 examination on a provisional basis.

The final seat allocation will be done on the basis of the combined merit list and the filled choices after the Session 2 examination.

How to Apply

A simple 4-step procedure

+Step 1 : Create your Account on the CAET Application Portal

The UG admissions for prospective candidates residing in UAE and other foreign nationals, subject to fulfillment of shortlisting and admission criteria, will take place through an Entrance Examination "Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET)". Application Guide

+Step 2 : Review the Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all the criteria listed below to be eligible for CAET.

Nationality

UAE Nationals appearing or completed Grade 12.
International students (not citizens of India or UAE).
UAE residents of Indian origin, and have completed last 5 years of schooling (Grade 8-12) in UAE.

Performance in Grade 12 (or equivalent)

Must have a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent in AT LEAST TWO of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics; and a minimum of 80% aggregate marks or equivalent in the class XII board examination.

The aggregate is calculated by taking average of marks scored in five subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and one more subject other than the above four.

Age / Date of birth:

Candidates should have been born on or after 01 October 2000. Two-years age relaxation may be applicable as per UAE national policy.

Number of Attempts:

Maximum of two attempts at admission in two consecutive years, 2024 & 2025

A candidate should have appeared / should be appearing for the Class/Grade XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 or 2024. Candidates whose first appearance in Class/Grade XII examination in 2023 and earlier years are NOT eligible. One year relaxation will be given to UAE Nationals who served one-year compulsory military service, if supported by a valid certificate.

Prior Admission to IIT:

A candidate should NOT have been admitted to any IIT earlier, irrespective of whether the candidate continued in the program or accepted and then vacated an IIT seat.

+Step 3 : Submit your Application

Carefully complete your application, if you meet the eligibility criteria for CAET, and apply online.
Upload all the supporting documents in required format.
At any given point you can login to your dashboard and check the application status through your registered Id.

+Step 4 : Appear for CAET

CAET is a written examination, and you would be required to visit the designated centers for writing the exam, on the chosen date.
The center will be allocated to you based on your preference and availability of seats at the center.
Final Selection will based on your performance in CAET
