The UG admissions for prospective candidates residing in UAE and other foreign nationals, subject to fulfillment of shortlisting and admission criteria, will take place through an Entrance Examination "Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2024". Scroll to the bottom of the page to learn more about CAET.

Candidates must fulfill all the criteria listed below to be eligible for CAET 2024.

Performance in Grade 12 (or equivalent)

A minimum of 75% overall marks in Class XII (or equivalent) Board exam.
The aggregate is calculated by taking average of marks scored in five subjects in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, any subject other than the above four) in High School (or equivalent)

Score in EmSAT/SAT

EmSAT Score in Mathematics: Minimum 1150 (out of 2000)
OR
SAT score in Mathematics : Minimum 700 (out of 800)

Language Proficiency

Minimum proficiency in English as per the below requirement. The test must be taken within the last 2 years from any certified provider.

Candidates who have completed K-12 education in an English-medium institution and have met all the criteria but do not have a valid English language proficiency test score yet, may be conditionally admitted to the program with the requirement to submit evidence of minimum English Language proficiency score within the first semester to confirm the admission.

Candidates who have completed all their schooling (K-12) in an English-medium institution in English-Speaking countries (e.g. UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand) might be allowed admission into the undergraduate program without demonstrating TOEFL score of 500 (or equivalent).

Appearance in Grade 12

A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either the current year or year immediately preceding (i.e., for admission to the program in 2024, the candidate should have appeared for Class XII exams for the first time in 2022*, 2023 or 2024) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Age Limit

Candidate must be less than 25 years of age, on the date of admission*.

Earlier admission at IITs

A candidate should NOT have been admitted to any IIT earlier, irrespective of whether or not the candidate continued in the program OR accepted and then vacated an IIT seat.

Number of Attempts

A candidate can appear in CAET and/or JEE Advanced a maximum of two times (in total).

• CAET 2024 is a pen and paper based written examination, and you would be required to visit the designated centers for writing the exam.

• The center will be allocated to you based on your preference and availability of seats at the center.

• Final Selection will based on your performance in CAET 2024.
