IIT Delhi recently hosted a 7-day Winter Bootcamp, welcoming 15 enthusiastic high school students from the Abu Dhabi, UAE. Hailing from various schools, these Emirati students immersed themselves in a unique blend of rigorous academic pursuits and engaging cross-cultural activities.
The Winter Bootcamp at IIT Delhi provided the participants with an enriching academic experience, allowing them to delve into diverse subjects and challenging projects. The students also collaborated on capstone projects and their presentations showcased not only academic prowess but also the ability to thrive in a diverse and challenging environment.
Beyond the classroom, the students also had the opportunity to explore Delhi's rich cultural heritage. Visits to the city's iconic and historic monuments became a fascinating journey through time, exposing the participants to the vibrant history and architectural marvels that define Delhi.
A 9-day visit to IIT Delhi was organized, offering a firsthand experience of the institution's academic and research facilities. The inaugural program was jointly inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Chairperson ADEK Her Excellency Sara Musallam. The visiting students stayed at IIT Delhi, had lectures from IIT Delhi faculty on different contemporary topics of interest, had hands-on lab sessions, interacted with student clubs on campus, and also had some sightseeing, including a visit to the new Parliament building. The visit got good media coverage both in India and in the UAE.
